Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy defines how customers may and may not use Techflu's rented devices, website, dashboard and services.

2. Permitted Use

Customers may use rented devices for lawful:

• Personal use.
• Student and educational use.
• Professional work.
• Business use, where applicable.
• Browsing, communication, productivity, design, development or approved software use.

3. Prohibited Use

Customers must not use Techflu devices or services for:

• Illegal activity, fraud, hacking, cybercrime, phishing or spamming.
• Identity theft or malware creation/distribution.
• Cryptocurrency mining.
• Hosting illegal content or pirated software.
• Gambling or betting activity prohibited by law.
• Obscene, abusive, hateful or unlawful content distribution.
• Any activity violating Indian law or third-party rights.

4. Device Misuse

Customers must not:

• Open the device or replace parts.
• Remove stickers or asset tags.
• Attempt unauthorised repair.
• Disable device security controls.
• Tamper with BIOS, firmware or operating system protections.
• Install malicious software.
• Overload the device beyond normal use.
• Use the device in unsafe physical environments.
• Expose the device to water, heat, dust, chemicals or physical impact.

5. No Transfer or Sub-Rental

The customer must not sell, pledge, mortgage, lend, sub-rent, transfer, assign or commercially exploit the rented device. The device must remain with the approved customer and at the approved address/city unless Techflu gives written permission.

6. Software and Licences

The customer is responsible for ensuring that any software installed or used is lawful and properly licensed. Techflu is not responsible for customer-installed software, pirated tools, malware or third-party licence violations.

7. Data and Accounts

Customers are responsible for their personal files, login credentials, cloud accounts, browser sessions, passwords, confidential business data and backup of data.

Customers must remove personal data before returning the device.

8. Security

Customers must not disable security tools, tracking tools, device management tools or configurations installed by Techflu, if any. Customers must immediately report theft, loss, suspected compromise or unauthorised access.

9. Inspection and Investigation

If Techflu reasonably suspects misuse, fraud, tampering, illegal use or breach of this Policy, it may inspect the device, suspend services, request return, restrict future rentals or take lawful action.

10. Consequences of Breach

Violation of this Policy may result in:

• Account suspension.
• Rental termination.
• Device recovery.
• Deposit deduction.
• Damage charges.
• Legal action.
• Reporting to authorities where required.
