Rental Agreement / Device Handover Terms

1. Parties

This agreement is between:

• Owner / Rental Service Provider: Techflu Global Services Pvt. Ltd.
• Customer / Renter: The individual or entity placing the rental order.

2. Rented Product

The rented product may include:

• Laptop, desktop, server, display or other IT hardware.
• Charger and adapter.
• Accessories.
• Carry bag, if provided.
• Serial-numbered assets.
• Any add-on equipment listed in the order.

Device details, model, configuration, serial number, rental duration, monthly rent, deposit and delivery address will be recorded in the order summary or handover record.

3. Ownership

The rented device remains the sole property of Techflu or its asset owner/vendor. The customer receives only temporary rental possession and usage rights. The customer does not receive ownership rights.

4. Rental Start Date

The rental starts from the actual date of delivery and handover to the customer. The monthly rental due date will be the same calendar date as the actual delivery date.

5. Payments

The customer must pay:

• Refundable security deposit equal to two months' rent.
• First month's rent before delivery or at handover, if required.
• Monthly rent on each due date.
• Applicable taxes.
• Delivery/setup charges, if any.
• Late fees, damage charges or other dues, if applicable.

6. Refundable Security Deposit

The refundable security deposit is not rent. It is held as security against unpaid dues, damage, loss, theft, missing accessories, misuse or breach of agreement. The deposit will be refunded after device return, inspection and settlement of dues.

7. KYC and Approval

Delivery will be made only after payment, KYC submission, admin review and order approval. Techflu may reject or cancel an order before delivery if verification, risk review or serviceability is unsatisfactory.

8. Delivery and Handover

At delivery, Techflu may verify:

• Customer identity.
• Delivery address.
• Device serial number.
• Device condition.
• Accessories provided.
• Handover acknowledgment.

Techflu may capture geo-tagged photographs, house/nameplate images, device photos and customer acknowledgment for audit and risk management.

9. Customer Inspection at Delivery

The customer must inspect the device at delivery. Any visible damage, missing accessory or product mismatch must be reported immediately or within 24 hours of delivery.

If no issue is reported within the stated period, the device may be treated as accepted in good working condition, subject to hidden defects later verified by Techflu.

10. Permitted Use

The customer may use the device only for lawful personal, educational, professional or approved business purposes. The device must be used carefully and in accordance with normal operating instructions.

11. Restrictions

The customer must not:

• Sell, pledge or mortgage the device.
• Sub-rent or transfer possession to another person.
• Remove asset tags.
• Open, repair or replace parts.
• Install pirated, illegal or harmful software.
• Use the device for unlawful activity or crypto mining.
• Move the device outside the approved city/address without consent.
• Disable tracking, security or asset-management tools, if installed.
• Refuse return, inspection or recovery.

12. Maintenance and Support

Techflu may provide technical support as per the applicable plan. The customer must promptly report malfunction, damage, theft, loss or security incidents. Techflu may repair, replace or inspect the device at its discretion.

13. Damage, Loss and Theft

The customer is responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear, loss, theft, missing accessories, misuse, tampering and unauthorised repair. Techflu may deduct applicable amounts from the refundable security deposit. If the deposit is insufficient, the customer must pay the balance.

14. Return of Device

At the end of the rental period or on early closure, the customer must return the device and all accessories in working condition, subject to normal wear and tear. Return will be completed only after pickup confirmation, inspection and internal closure.

15. Late Return

If the customer fails to return the device on the agreed date, Techflu may charge additional rent, late fees, recovery charges and other lawful amounts.

16. Default

The customer will be in default if they fail to pay rent, fail KYC after payment, provide false documents, misuse or damage the device, refuse return, or transfer/sub-rent the device.

In case of default, Techflu may suspend services, recover the device, adjust the deposit, charge dues and take lawful action.

17. Early Termination by Techflu

Techflu may terminate the rental if the customer breaches the agreement, fails to pay dues, misuses the device, provides false information or creates risk to Techflu's assets or staff.

18. Data Responsibility

The customer is responsible for backing up and deleting personal data before returning the device. Techflu is not responsible for loss of personal data stored on the rented device unless caused by Techflu's proven negligence. Techflu may wipe, reset or reformat returned devices before re-rental.

19. Limitation of Liability

Techflu will not be liable for indirect loss, business interruption, loss of data, loss of profit or third-party misuse, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

20. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by Indian law. Subject to applicable consumer rights, courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have jurisdiction.

21. Acceptance

By accepting delivery, digitally signing, OTP-confirming, clicking acceptance, or continuing to use the device, the customer agrees to these Rental Agreement / Device Handover Terms.
